Brokeback Bathroom: Sexy Craig
To hear Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) tell it, he is a victim. A victim of a misunderstanding that led to his arrest for lewd behavior in an airport restroom. A victim of simply having a "wide stance" that caused him to accidentally play footsie with the undercover male police officer in the stall next to him. A victim of his own bad judgment for deciding to plead guilty. A victim of vicious harassment by the media. And a victim who is most decidedly and emphatically not gay.
Craig's arrest record, meanwhile, speaks for itself, and you can read all the sordid details here. While you're at it, watch a video reenactment or listen to a dramatic reading of the bathroom bust, plus check out a creepy video clip from 1999 of Craig calling Bill Clinton "a nasty, bad, naughty boy."
For those of you keeping score of recent Republican sex scandals, first there was Rep. Mark Foley, who got caught sending sexually explicit IMs to underage male pages. Then we had President Bush's spiritual adviser, Ted Haggard, who resigned as head of the National Association of Evangelicals after admitting to having methamphetamine-fuled sex with a male prostitute. Then Louisian Sen. David Vitter's name popped up on the DC madam list amid revelations that he had been frequenting prostitutes and dressing in diapers. Then John McCain's Florida campaign co-chiarman, state represenative Bob Allen, was arrested for offering to perform oral sex on an undercover male police officer in exchange for $20. And now comes Craig, starring in Brokeback Bathroom.
What will be the next Republican sex scandal to break? Take our poll.

Ya know amigo, there's an old saying..."folks who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"...
To our discredit (Republicans), there have indeed been several sex scandals....BUT...stop and think a bit Gert....
Maybe...in the interest of "equal time", you should do a post about the various Democratic sex scandals over the years....you can start with "Blowjob Billy" in the Oval office and go from there....

Good to hear from you again!
Firstly, we all live in glass houses and we all still throw stones. "He who is without sin cast the first stone" would really put stone merchants out of business...
When Republicans (or conservatives in general) stub their toe on some bizarre sex-gone-wrong incident it's always funnier, because of the emphasis they place on family values and their tendency to stick their moralistic noses into other peoples sexual business.
This trying to play sexual political games is a disease of the Anglo-Saxon world. In a deeply Christian place like Italy, a porn star gets elected to parliament and no one bats an eyelid. So it should be.
And sorry: I don't "do equal time".
Toodles!
