Jews say No!... to Dershowitz

Oh boy, the Rottweiler of Neocon Zionism isn't going to like this one. From here I think I can hear his deep breathing from being on the blower to this University: insurrection on campus!

The Fordham University School of Law National Lawyer’s Guild chapter and Amnesty International chapter, together with Jews Say No!, are co-sponsoring a program at Fordham on the Goldstone report from 12:30 until 2 P.M. on Thursday, November 19th. We are doing this to enable a serious and substantive discussion to take place with international law and human rights experts. This program will be a few hours before the speech about the report to be given by Alan Dershowitz. As most of you undoubtedly know, Dershowitz has been an uncompromising defender of Israel’s actions in the occupied territories, a position that has led him to consistently reject any criticisms of those actions by international human rights groups. Dershowitz’s fixed views about Israel’s actions towards the Palestinians make him, perhaps, singularly unqualified to present a fair analysis of the report. With regard to Israel’s actions in Gaza, which are a prime subject of the Goldstone report, Dershowitz has already made his position clear. Days into Israel’s operation in Gaza, which had already begun to attract international criticism, Dershowitz wrote this in the Wall Street Journal: "Israel’s actions in Gaza are justified under international law, and Israel should be commended for its self-defense against terrorism."

We encourage you to support the students by coming to the program. Your presence would mean a lot to them!

The program is being held at:

Fordham University School of Law
