Alice Sommer Herz: Everything is a Present

I watched a documentary late last night on BBC 4 about a remarkable survivor of Theresienstadt, who claims to owe her survival almost entirely to the gift of music. The doc was shot when she was 98 and playing the piano like the true virtuoso she was (is). Today Alice Sommer Herz is a 106! An incredible woman with some extraordinary views and survival strategies. Unfortunately I have to concur with Alice that Mankind doesn't learn from its mistakes, over short periods of time perhaps a bit, but not at all over longer periods. A joy to watch, you can peruse it here. I could watch this over and over again and the music score is delectable...
