Hillary and Condy in Israel...

Hat tip to Umkahlil

I never quite saw the Clintons as the "Golden Couple" many over here in Europe perceived them to be. Sure, Bill Clinton may have been the best American president of the last 25 years but two Bushes and a Reagan don't make a right...

As regards Hillary, she lost my support long time a go when she supported the invasion of Iraq. Bill's own current anti-war stance needs to be seen in the light of pervious clear pro-war statements.

Condy? She's nothing more than an example of a rabid neocon that's dug a hole for her self and now just keeps digging, at everyone else's expense.

Both were visiting Israel recently. Let's hear it from Hillary first:
“This [wall] is not against the Palestinian people. This is against terrorists. The Palestinian people have to help prevent terror. They have to change their attitudes about terrorism, starting with the Palestinian Authority and going through Palestinian society.”

Of course the Palestinian people should cease their military struggle, for they are fighting a war against Fortress Israel that cannot be won. Israeli retaliation ensures that for every Israeli killed by Palestinian violence, two to five Palestinians lose their lives too. And Palestinian on Israeli violence will forever be used by Israel as an excuse to not negotiate a fair deal: "we don't negotiate with terrorists", a viewpoint which rightly or wrongly, is largely followed by the rest of the world.

Ceasing the violence should therefore be a tactical consideration, one that would prove the wall to be what it really is: a fence "protecting Israeli land" from "Palestinian intruders". Proof of the land grab, Project Eretz Israel... Hillary, this wall is of course against the Palestinian people.

Condy's up next:
“Not to be outdone, we get the reiteration of her boss's incredulous 'Sharon is a man of peace' from Condoleeza Rice.

Addressing Sharon at a U.S.-Israeli symposium Sunday, Rice struck an unusually personal tone, saying: "President Bush and I admire your personal courage, your leadership and the crucial contribution to peace that you are making."

Oh, yes, of course.
Sharon the man of "small massacres"
, Sharon the man of large massacres, in short: Sharon the man of peace. Pahleaease...

Credit where it is due, Gert! Condi did one HELL of a job last week, securing free passages for Palestinians through the border with Israel.

IN fact, Condi is a class act...much like George W!

OK, Timmer, credit given, but it's hardly a big deal. Sounds more like something I would consider as adding insult to injury.

As regards Retarded Monkey's Boy, what to say...

Indeed, Hilary was for the war, Hilary is big buddy of Murdoch too.

Condi: "We never heard of such a plan to fly planes into the WTC"

Sheeesh...it's never enough is it? Notice that NO ONE is screaming about some of the hot issues of last year, by the by?

I just paid 201.00/Gallon when I filled up today. Medicine is now WAY more affordable to Seniors. We are WINNING the war, if you would just open your mind and peruse the accounts of our servicemen returning from Iraq.

Do these self-delusions often trouble you? Maybe you should go and see a doctor, Timmer.

Gert -

Thanks for the concern! But alas, it is you (with all respect) that is being duped by political agendas and sold-out media.

We ARE winning this war Gert - I hear it almost every day from Soldiers, Sailors and Marines coming back from Iraq -- these young people really can't believe what they are hearing on the news here.

I know you hate Bush - I get that (without necessarily understanding it). But the news of our nation is very good, given the state of the wider world (economically and militarily). The Middle East is showing signs of improvement all over - from real elections in Egypt, to WMD Dismantling in Libya, to Lebanese final independence from Syria. Look at the latest news in Jordan! In Israel!

You are a smart person, Gert...not being contrite - but does none of this give you pause? Does it not make you rethink the out-of-control criticisms?

Still think I need a shrink?

My reply:
Political agendas and sold-out media exist on both side of the divide. It's essentially a matter of perspective. What we see the Bush administration doing now is to us really nothing more than damage limitation.

My reply:
So, when you've finally "won" this war will you then have the courtesy to leave well alone? And not start building airbases as we hear is already happening? And how will the US react when the Kurds declare independence, something they will undoubtedly do: they say so loud and clear...

I've always maintained that if something good came out of what was in essence an irresponsible response, based on cooked intel and plain lies, I'd applaud it. So far I don't feel the need to put my hands together yet.

I don't hate Bush, I hate what he stands for, that's rather different. Privately we'd probably get on fine, he seems an amicable enough person, although we'd certainly have to disagree on a few things. Bush is no more than a puppet in the hands of Cheney, Rummy, Condi et al. Are you forgetting Bush's approval ratings are sinking like a lead balloon?

Jordan? You mean another recent bombing campaign by al-Qaeda or affiliates?

Good news in Israel? I'm a news-addict, so elucidate the bit I must have missed.

Take care...
