I typed it with tears in my eyes.

Yes you're doing a fine job Gert and these are appalling images.

The top photos with the girls and the missiles that's doing the rounds, well for many Hitler's youth for girls movement will no doubt come to mind and it's possible this is intentionally how it will be wielded by malevolent forces in and pertaining to Israel to increase tension and provoke reactions.

The Guardian had a piece on it trying to put it in context but whether they succeeded or not is a matter of heated debate there. The AP photographer didn't want to talk about it apparently.

I don't know if you've seen it Gert but there also a piece on their site by Newt Gingrich promoting WW3 which is is absolutely disgraceful.

Gert -- the picture site's "gone". You're link won't go there any more - nor will mine.

Censored? Disappeared? Down the memory hole?

The picture site works. I just visited it. Maybe it is getting a lot of traffic, which is why it's unavailable from time to time.

The civilian loss of life is horrible. The death of innocent women, children and men saddens me, as well as the vast majority of Israelis. We need to be much more careful in our operations in Lebanon. Still, keep in mind that many of the civilian casualties are the result of Hezbollah fighting from within civilian areas.

About the girls writing on shells: here is the context.

Okay Gert and Richard- I actually wanted to let you know I found links to it from four other sites this afternoon- I think the word is getting round...I don't know what the petition isn't working- but the Pictures are SO Important...

Hi, You're quite right to link to the page Emmanuel.

There was some speculation that those appalling images from Abu Ghraib were deliberately leaked by America to cause a reaction, and that was kind of my initial gut leaning on this, perhaps fueled by monstrous people like Gingrich trying to declare World War 3.
