Colin Powell endorses Barack Obama!
Watch it. Learn from it. J-u-b-i-l-a-t-e.
The exercise of power is determined by thousands of interactions between the world of the powerful and that of the powerless, all the more so because these worlds are never divided by a sharp line: everyone has a small part of himself in both - Vaclav Havel

I'd rather have Joe the Plumber's endorsement than Colin Powell's any day. Powell was vacillating to the democrat party 8 years ago when he considered running for president...he has never been a republican, he only served in republican administrations.
No surprise here. The only surprise is that this somehow gives you jubilation. I certainly wasn't in "jubilation" when Joe Lieberman endorsed McCain.
That may all be well and true Madze, but this election isn't just about you or conservatives in general. The real numbers (especially undecideds and independents) are in the centre and that's where Colin Powell is important.
My jubilation BTW goes deeper than you think: Powell is one of the many moderate Republicans for which I have serious respect. Turns out he deserved it by making the right decision. His critique of McCain's campaign and choice of VP were also telling and I note it's diametrically opposed to your own assessment.
I can't see why you'd be a Jew but I can see why you'd be Jew-bi-lant..Now, why does everything have to come down to the issue of Da Jews. Because! Palin is a joke. I have no respect for her whatsoever. She's disrespected us and like I said over at MZ's, I don't know whom to vote for.

You could just stay home?
It is funny, except for Eithan, none of the rightist bloggers notice Palin's antisemitic positions.
Obama is closer politically to Bush41, than his son. No surprise of Powell's support.
Gert: I will indeed stay home. However, please don't expect the same behavior when it comes to election day in Israel;-)
