BlogRush is shutting down...

For a couple of days the familiar BlogRush widget hasn't been seen on my blog. I didn't think of it as anything other than a temporary glitch up to a few minutes ago when I decided to search for an explanation, only to find this frank apology for BlogRush's shut down, by John Reese (founder).

It leaves me only to apologise for any inadvertent inconvenience caused to bloggers that signed up directly in my network (I had accumulated a 120 members spread over six levels).

Personally I'll miss the service and am astonished they gave up a good thing. But I did feel they were missing the monetization train and that wasn't a good omen...

So, goodbye BlogRush!
