The rejection of universal values, by Zionist leaders, may be the contradiction that opens up the region.
Your idea of a civil rights type struggle by Palestinians, could win over Israelis. Hamas or Fatah aren't the ones who will lead it.
Still, outside pressure would facilitate everything. Momentum is building but still way off any critical mass, IMHO.
