Israel's largesse: evicts 45 families from "illegal" outpost, resettles them in "legal 250 house settlement"!

Full details in Ha'aretz. Responsible? Ehud Barak. In Ha'aretz, a leading centre-left daily, not a murmur of protest

In this post the author charts the expansion of the West Bank settlements by means of 11 Peace Now successive reports on settlement acitivity. In a related J'sem Post article he also found this:
...Dani Dayan, who heads the Council of Jewish Communities of Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, said in response that he was glad the group [Peace Now] was documenting settlement growth.

"We are grateful to Peace Now for investing the funds they receive from European [governments] in documenting the most important Zionist endeavor of our generation, the settlement of Judea and Samaria."

I couldn't make up this shit if they paid me for it. Unless I was a zionutzi...

Ha'aretz regularly protests settlement activity. Just this Sunday, the top story in the print edition was about construction between Jerusalem and Ma'ale Edumim in the West Bank. The next day, their editorial came out against this construction. Also, in the particular article you link to, the fact that this contradicts Israel's international commitments is clearly stated.

To say there is "not a murmur of protest" from Ha'aretz is completely false.

Fine, your comment will stand as a correction. Point accepted.

Most people will read the post without reading the comments. You should make the correction in the post itself, I'd say.

No, sorry.

I've never in the past denied Ha'aretz is critical of settlement building but from this article I didn't glean any [criticism] because I overlooked that small passage. It's a small inaccuracy in the post, not a malevolent distortion.

The link to the Ha'aretz source is also clearly displayed: people can check the context for themselves.

I'm also surprised by your insistence at this minor point: surely in other posts of mine there must be other issues that rankle you more?
