Mondoweiss: watershed moment in US on Israel?

The most prolific anti-Zionist blogging duo, Phillip Weiss and Adam Horowitz (from Mondoweiss) are churning out pieces faster than I can follow them, on the changing tide inside the US with regards to the Holy Land. They're clearly detecting a watershed moment. Too optimistic? A passing fad? See for yourself: below's just the latest batch (most recent on top) of their blog post titles (linked to the actual posts). Now leave me alone for a couple of hours to try and take it all in...

Tidal wave begins for Freeman

Will the Lieberman backlash begin before he even takes office?

'Washington Note' calls Freeman assailants 'cabal' with higher loyalty to Israel

Watershed moment, c'ted: Khalidi to speak at leading Brooklyn synagogue

Watershed moment. Sullivan says 'intimidation' of Israel's critics must end

Stunner: Walzer says US must put 'heavy pressure' on Israel to 'defeat the settler movement' and pull the colonists

Dear oh dear, just been looking at your odd and obnoxious fanaticism (or hysteria really) over the last month or so and I see that not only did you have to resort to censorship to get your own way and silence all those who dared to contradict you, but you subsequently lost a few blog friends over it.

Dear oh dear.

Sheesh, you still around???

Censorship: you should see the kind of hate mail I was getting. I didn't see you comment here, so what are you complaining about?

As regards those friends: who's to blame? Me or them? And what business of yours is it really?

I see the BNP is siding with Israel? How about you?

Oh yes, I am most certainly still around.

I didn't bother commenting as I never do when I see censorship instuited - hate mail won't hurt you and merely lowers the moral stance of the poster.

I can see you haven't lost your obnoxious edge - when things like this are conducted in public they become everyone's business; but from what I read, at least one of the commentators - Cookie - seemed quite reasonable and was merely expressing his opinion. He also quite rightly pointed out that falling out over something you have no control over is a folly. But there you go - to each his own.

I am not sure why you think the BNP were supporting Israel:

"We have said nothing, quite simply, because it’s nothing to do with Britain, and therefore nothing to do with the British National Party"

http://bnp.org.uk/2009/01/%E2%80%9Cisrael%E2%80%99s-gaza-affair%E2%80%9D-by-bnp-leader-nick-griffin/

But in any case, I believe what Israel were doing (as so often) was completely disproportionate and really had much more to do with their underlying hatred of Palestinians and was really just an excuse to kill as many as they could rather then for any real tangible or justifiable strategic reason.

But then pretty much everything to do with Israel is a brutal lie.

When people post things merely to try and create hateful distractions I don't feel obliged to play into their hands. Loads of comment sections are moderated for that reason. And all REAL forums (cyber or physical) are moderated.

Re. Cookie - we've fallen out frequently in the past and will do it again in the future. Two grumpy men I guess...

"He also quite rightly pointed out that falling out over something you have no control over is a folly."

But we do have control over it, that's the whole point of getting politically organised about it. Cookie's American, so he's potentially got more influence than I have, he just can't be asked because he and his buddy conservative friends are dyed in the wool Zionist supporters.

"I am not sure why you think the BNP were supporting Israel:" here's why.

That picture is NOT from the BNP website - it looks like a blog.

But either ways it is not from the BNP website.

The official BNP position can be found at that link I provided.

And by the by, if you really think that anyone has influence over Israel you are sadly mistaken; in fact quite the reverse is true - Israel has influence everywhere, especially the US and has the most voracious Zionist aggressors in high US office to be found anywhere on this planet (past and present.)

Isreal, its various arms and benefactors / proxies have inordinate say in US policy, and inordinate influence over the whole of the US from its public campaign funding, to its covert Mossad controlled PC opinion and smear machine the ADL; from its (proxy) public officials, at the very least greatly sympathetic to Isreal, to its covert spy rings that are well known but never smashed.

This is why the apartheid, genocidal, terrorist-aggressor state known as Israel acts with impunity.

BNP: Just read this.

I see you're still in Jooooos control the world! mode.

More accurately, the neocon Jewish and non-Jewish American supporters of Israel are starting to lose ground and fast. You haven't really been reading this blog, have you?

Things are changing, not that you'd care. Or the BNP, Moooslim bashing remains a favourite dish on their menu...

"As for your 'Jews controlling the world' whilst that is just a standard leftist smear, [...]"

Perhaps you've changed your stance somewhat but if I had a penny for every rightwing anti-Semite that still believe in 'The Protocols' I'd have a nice little cache of beer money.

As regards the success of the BNP, the fringes always benefit from the sort of crisis we're now seeing. There's a renewed interest in the Far Left too.
