Benny Morris: Reactionary Cunt

Like Israel, Benny Morris, once one of Israel's more progressive historians, has turned into a reactionary bullshitter and Zionist apologist par excellence. From his latest bookywook:
"The mindset and basic values of Israeli Jewish society and Palestinian Muslim society are so different and mutually exclusive as to render a vision of binational statehood tenable only in the most disconnected and unrealistic of minds. The value placed on human life and the rule of (secular) law is completely different--as exhibited, in Israel itself, in the vast hiatus between Jewish and Arab perpetration of crimes and lethal road traffic violations. Arabs, to put it simply, proportionally commit far more crimes (and not only ones connected to property) and commit far more lethal traffic violations than do Jews. In large measure, this is a function of different value systems (such as the respect accorded to human life and the rule of law)."

Just who is the reactionary here? Why don't you clean up your misogynist language?
In all the posts of Gert's I've read, this is the first that has contained a swear-word, and I think in this case it's justified.
For this book to be regarded as an academic piece is a disgrace. It's content is a disgrace and I personally would have used much stronger words.
And would it have been less misgonystic if he used knob instead of cunt?

I wasn't going to respond because anger got the better of me in my Morris description. But it's true, once an honest New Historian, Morris has largely sold out. That cheeses me off no end.
