Nuclear ambiguity...
The incoming head of the United Nation's nuclear watchdog said on Friday he did not see any hard evidence that
"I don't see any evidence in IAEA official documents about this,"
From the same Ha'aretz, a bit of Holocaust abuse by the new ambassador:
Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador to the United States, on Friday warned that an Iranian atomic bomb could "wipe Israel off the map in a matter of seconds," and that the Iranians could "accomplish in a matter of seconds what they denied Hitler did, and kill 6 million Jews, literally."
Oren made his comments in a conversation with journalist Jeffrey Goldberg at the Aspen Ideas Festival in
The newly appointed ambassador warned, "There are clocks ticking all around," with regard to the Iranian nuclear issue. "One of those clocks is the uranium enrichment clock, which will show that by a certain date the Iranians will have sufficient, highly enriched uranium materials to create a bomb that could literally wipe
Apparently he also said:
"I never said settlements are not an issue?but they're not the issue," he said.
So Oren's agenda clearly falls in line with the Israeli Government's line of trying to keep
3 Comments:
Both Iranian candidates for president, and the protesters, all agree Iran should have the right to nuclear power.
In 1998 Israel said by 2004, Iran will have the bomb.
I think in 1985 it said Iran would have it by 2000! ;-)
"There are clocks ticking all around"
For God's sake, this grows all the more Orwellian by the second.
How long before pictures of unshaved Iranians with shining black eyes and knives in their teeth are begun to be distributed.
As Oscar Hammerstein, Jr., as quoted by the Magnes Zionist, put it:
You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.
You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.
You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught!
