Part of Tel Aviv jubilates...
Inspired by Lenin's tomb...
Israelis celebrating in front of Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv:
Olay, olay, olay olay olay...
Remarked Lenin:
How sad for them that they didn't have the opportunity to watch the assault from afar, perched on deckchairs, binoculars in hand, as some of their compatriots did during Cast Lead [my link added].

I witnessed one of these protests up close, and the protesters were awfully chipper. It was very surreal. Even those who think Israel was right to stop the ships should not be happy about this colossal failure and the loss of life.
I've read some reports on more mixed reactions inside Israel. I'm guessing that in times of crisis the army remains hugely popular and that this debacle is somehow seen as a victory for it. Sobriety may set in a bit later...
I have at my blog several links to critical editorials, printed in Haaretz.
I don't understand Israel's thinking. They seem oblivious to world opinion.
There was right from the start of the Zionist Project something of 'we know what you did to us and we don't care about your opinion anymore...' in the attitude to the wider world. This is easily exploited by gung-ho politicians. Israel states very clearly that it will do ANYTHING to 'defend' itself...
